SYNOPSIS

This unit addresses the skills and knowledge required to ensure that people management/human capital services are aligned with business needs. It covers the link between people management/human capital initiatives and how these align to business strategy.

  1. Review organisation’s strategies and business plans
  2. Review internal and external factors that may impact on people management/human capital services
  3. Ensure people management/human capital activities and services support the business

LEARNING OUTCOMES

  1. Review organisation’s strategies and business plans
  • Identify HR trends that may impact organisational performance
  • Review organisation’s strategic and business plans to identify areas impacting human resource activities, services and programmes
  • Communicate with stakeholders to clarify their needs relating to HR activities, services and programmes
  1. Review internal and external factors that may impact HR services
  • Review data and reports to document past performance of HR activities, services and programmes
  • Facilitate involvement of stakeholders to review HR service effectiveness and clarify future expectations and requirements
  • Document outcomes of review activities to clarify future directions of HR services and validate priorities with stakeholders
  1. Ensure HR activities and services support the business
  • Agree on required changes and explain to key stakeholders how changes will assist in achieving strategic and business goals
  • Implement or initiate identified changes to support the organisation’s strategic and business goals
  • Establish performance indicators and measures for the effectiveness of HR activities, services and programmes designed to support the organisation’s strategic and business goals
