SYNOPSIS

This unit addresses the skills and knowledge required to lead organisational design activities. It covers working with stakeholders to identify issues impacting on organisational design and strategies that may be used to implement changes to organisational design.

  1. Develop plan for organisational design 
  2. Facilitate implementation of organisational design
  3. Monitor effectiveness of organisational design

 

  1. Develop plan for organisational design
  • Analyse trends and developments to identify the current and future impact on the organisation
  • Consult stakeholders to identify requirements
  • Review trend and stakeholder data analysis to select options for organisational design
  • Validate alignment of organisational design plan with stakeholders to obtain sign-off
  1. Facilitate implementation of organisational design
  • Facilitate the implementation of organisational design through planning and ensure key stakeholders have a common understanding
  • Communicate organisational design to encourage buy-in from stakeholders
  • Monitor the implementation of the organisational design programmes to provide additional support and resources as required
  1. Monitor effectiveness of organisational design
  • Identify criteria to evaluate the effectiveness of organisational design and define measures to be used
  • Support the development of programmes to gather measurement data and feedback
  • Monitor internal and external influences and trends that may impact on organisational development
  • Analyse data to refine organisational development
